Our website is evolving into a much more interactive meeting ground for flute players of huge diversity...I hope that you will begin to really feel that the BFS is YOUR society.
At first glance you might not notice much change, but take a look under the CORNERS links…you will find the beginnings of various sections that are completely run by YOU! Do you have any pet interests or concerns about subjects relating to your beloved flute? Please share them with your friends and colleagues – your views will become visible to BFS members worldwide. Fantastic.
Note: If the Corners menu does not appear, please refresh your browser or click here
PAN The Flute Magazine is a superior quality journal documenting the history, present and future of flute playing, manufacture and pedagogy; the website’s role is quite different however – we want this site to be defined by your own creative views whether you are a student, teacher, amateur, professional performer, composer, flute manufacturer or publisher...we have almost limitless space here.
Over the next months, please watch out for the following:
- In February we will be introducing restricted access to certain key areas of the website. This means that only BFS members will be able to benefit from these areas. This is a crucial development, if we are to continue to function as a financially viable society. Until then, everyone will be able to access all areas of the website.
- The various CORNERS and EVENTS sections will be updated regularly, so please watch out for new articles (and don’t forget to make your own presence felt!). We will endeavor to place key announcements very prominently, but there will be much information that is hidden in various links.
- In the coming months we will begin to look at the visual aspect of our website to make it as contemporary and functional as possible, within our limited financial resources.
The BFS website is quickly evolving into a real hub for your inspiration and creativity as musicians…please use it to the hilt by giving the flute community the benefit of your talent and support.
