Peterborough Flute Choir

The main group is for grade 5 plus, the group for adults of grade 5+ is conductorless, in order to maximise the development of ensemble playing.
Take 2 is aimed at newer/returners/less experienced players so repertoire is aimed around grades 2 - 5.
At both groups there are opportunities to try piccolo, alto and bass flutes. The repertoire is varied to encompass all tastes and in order to amuse, challenge and enthuse all players. We work towards performances (mostly in aid of charity) in and around the local area, as well as arrange flute at least one workshop day per year.

The Flute Group

Performances are arranged throught the year at venues ranging from private garden open days and summer fetes to Christmas markets and formal concerts. We play a wide range of music from classical to TV/film music (with most being specifically arranged for the group by Claire Hennie). The group was established three years ago to give young performers the opportunity to learn valuable performance skills as part of an ensemble (whilst also meeting other like-minded musicans and having lots of fun!)
